Beta Access Opens

PlatformDTC is now open for beta access.

It is one platform for orders, inventory, subscriptions, payments, marketing and analytics — operated by agents that act inside it, under permissions the merchant sets.

The distinction that matters is between an assistant and an operator. A chat box that answers questions about a store is not the same product as a system that changes the store. PlatformDTC is being built as the second one.

What the Platform Covers

A merchant on PlatformDTC gets a storefront and the operational surface behind it, rather than a storefront that then needs six integrations to become a business:

• Store and checkout — a storefront built from a prompt or a template, with checkout on the merchant's own domain
• Catalog and inventory — products, variants, suppliers and stock, with supplier-fulfilled and print-on-demand paths
• Payments and subscriptions — card processing, wallets, recurring billing and the recovery logic underneath it
• Marketing — email and SMS campaigns and automations, running on real commerce data rather than an exported list
• Orders and fulfillment — order management, shipping rates, fulfillment routing and branded tracking
• Analytics — revenue, orders, ad spend and return, measured against what actually settled

Agents That Act, Under Permissions

The agents on the platform are not a layer bolted on top. They call the same API a person's browser calls, which is what makes their actions auditable and reversible in the same way a human's are.

Authority is granted rather than assumed. An agent carries a key with named scopes, actions outside those scopes are refused before any business logic runs, and actions that spend money or contact customers can be held for a human decision.

Autonomy is a dial, not a switch. A merchant can start with proposals requiring approval and move toward independent operation as the record justifies it.

What We Are Not Claiming

This is a beta, and it is worth being precise about the boundary.

PlatformDTC does not use quantum computing. Earlier versions of this page described the platform in those terms, and that description was wrong — the system is built on conventional infrastructure, large language models and a great deal of ordinary commerce engineering.

Nor does an autonomous store run itself unattended from day one. The platform is designed so that a merchant can verify each step before widening what an agent is allowed to do on its own.
